Getting Rad in The Kootenays

September 11, 2018

I recently had the pleasure of growing my circle of awesome people in my life. After connecting with Cole Pellerin on Instagram, we made plans to hit the East Kootenays to hang out, shoot, and ride.

We first met in Fernie at the Brooks Creek Ranch and went straight to the local trails. Right away, we worked together super well and had way too much fun stopping to snap photos and grab GoPro clips.

Next stop was Kicking Horse Resort! This mountain was rad! One of my favourite trails there was "Stick Rock" - it's something way different than I would typically enjoy. Instead of jumps and flow, it was full of steep rock slabs with skinny but fast and flowing wood features.

With over 1200m of shreddable terrain, Kicking Horse is one kick ass mountain. This place made us smile all day. The old school riding mixed into new school flow reminded us of something from the early 2000's. So, we took a song from one of the old New World Disorder videos and put together this video of us messing around all day long. Good times!

Stay tuned for more content with Cole and I. We have a very exciting (and more serious) project in the works coming Spring 2019.
