I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my week in Victoria, then to make a weekend trip out to Sooke and see how many exciting adventures I could pack into two days. This small Vancouver Island community just a 45-minute drive away from the city and is full of character and fun activities! I stayed at the impressive Prestige Oceanfront Resort, went zip lining at Adrena LINE, paddle boarded with West Coast Outdoor Adventure, mountain biked in the best secret spots, and spent the hottest parts of my days relaxing and swimming at Sooke potholes. Talk about the ultimate weekend!
The weekend started off with an afternoon session at Arena LINE where I got to hang out upside down 8 times and rip above the trees. Normally zip lining wouldn’t be my thing, but this place knew how to do it right and make sure everyone in the group was pushing themselves and having a much fun as possible. From there I hit up the West Coast Grill and caught the sunset.
The next day was better than I even anticipated. I woke up and from the hotel’s dock and went on a sunrise paddle board with West Coast Outdoor Adventure before a delicious breakfast at the resort. From there I linked up with Pat from Nolan Riding and Lorien of Sooke Mountain Cycle. These local trail gurus were kind enough to show me some of Sooke’s best hidden gems!

This is an amazing deal I strongly recommend! Other Recommendations for Sooke:
1. Make sure to check out the Sooke potholes while the weather is hot! It has crystal clear water, unique formations, and many private spots. It’s the best way to wind down or refresh on a hot day.
2. Make yourself familiar with the mountain biking and hiking trail network on Mt. Quimper. The summit has a rustic little cabin that provides an epic 360 degree view of the South Island region.
3. Go paddle boarding and lookout for Sea Otters, they are everywhere!
